• All participants had spent $5k or more in 2016 on healthcare related expenses.
• For all participants, their expenses were 20% or less of their income.
• 38% spent less than 10% of their income in 2016 on healthcare.
• 63% spent 10-20% of their income on healthcare.
• Interesting Question: What % of our income should we expect to go to healthcare related
expenses? For example, how should it compare as a “budget” line item to housing,
transportation, food?
